Clearbury

Clearbury is a four bedded house that accommodates Deaf young people between the ages of 11 and 18.  It offers a similar provision to Blackaller Farm and the young people resident at Clearbury access the smallholding for vocational and recreational purposes.

The home lies on the Devon / Somerset border and is within easy access of the M5 and A38. Local facilities are available in the nearby towns of Wellington and Tiverton.

Clearbury has a large garden and a number of outbuldings suitable for recreational or workshop space.

The team at Clearbury consists of carers who have considerable experience in working with Deaf children who have emotional, behavioural and mental health needs. All have special communication skills including British Sign Language. Their knowledge of Deaf culture and the needs of Deaf people places them in a unique position to deliver this highly specialised service.
