Blackaller

Blackaller is registered to accommodate 4 children between the ages of 11 -18. The home is located in the Blackdown Hills in rural Devon. There is easy access to the M5 and the communities of Taunton, Exeter and Tiverton.

The home has a smallholding with animals which forms part of Signpost’s therapeutic philosophy of care and behaviour management for each young person.

The team at Blackaller consists of carers who have considerable experience in working with Deaf children who have emotional, behavioural and mental health needs. All have special communication skills including British Sign Language. Their knowledge of Deaf culture and the needs of Deaf people places them in a unique position to deliver this highly specialised service.

Blackaller has been rated as an Outstanding provision by OFSTED.
